The Hamlet of East Line grew up on the border
between the Towns of Ballston and Malta.

It was an important Railroad stop by the 1830's,
and East Line Road developed as
a main North/South turnpike.

Half of the Hamlet of East Line
can be found on each map below,
along with the names of the residents.

People have been gathering
on this site for
many hundreds of years.

The Iroquois Nation gathered here seasonally
to hunt and to celebrate festivals.

The first pioneers cleared the forests and planted the fields
in pre-revolutionary times.

Our founding fathers established communities
and the New American Life.
